We had the pleasure of Jon joining us as photographer for our wedding day in September. Jon really put us both at ease with his relaxed style and wonderful personality. He stayed in touch prior to the wedding date with some lovely friendly emails, top tips and Blogs on previous weddings. Neither my Husband or I are particularly confident in front of the camera, but Jon was extremely understanding and really took the pressure off with a natural style, while still capturing some truly amazing shots. He knew the venue well and was able to suggest some amazing spots for photographs as well as taking on board some of our suggestions. We had some very special feathered guests join us for the wedding and Jon managed to capture some amazing shots for us including some behind the scenes images. He really went above and beyond to get the perfect shot including some mild paddling in the river!!! The turnaround on the photos was so quick we were still on honeymoon when Jon sent us the link to the online photo gallery for friends and family. We are so glad we found Jon. He was incredibly calm, patient and extremely helpful. His experience of covering weddings was evident. We wanted an informal wedding and he came up with all sorts of ideas for different shots, both romantic and quirky. Booking our wedding photographer was always going to be a difficult task and we had little knowledge of where to start. Jon had photographed a wedding at our venue the year before and we'd fallen in love with his photos! So, from the moment we contacted him, both Isobel and himself couldn't have been more accommodating! They met with us, told us how they worked and asked us how we envisaged the photos for the day! We made it very clear that we didn't want the photos to interrupt the flow of the day, especially taking time out for staged photos. We wanted natural, fun and relaxed photos. mWell, Jon and Isobel didn't disappoint- the photos were all we could ask for and more! They captured every moment perfectly and told an incredibly accurate story of the day! We booked Jonathan to be our photographer after chatting to him at the Sandy Park Wedding Fair. His packages were such good value and it was so easy to talk to him, it didn't take us long to decide that he was the photographer for us. He kept in regular contact from the time we booked until the wedding day. He even provided us with some crazy photo ideas. On the big day he blended in so well with all the guests we forgot he was there, he was like an additional member of the family. The photos were amazing, a vast mixture of formal and natural. From the first time I met Jonathan and Isobel at a wedding fair and loved the photographs they had with them I knew they were the perfect pair to take our wedding photographs. Meeting us at the church and our venue weeks before to go through some of the shots we wanted was lovely and made us feel very calm about it all. They were able to offer some wonderful suggestions such as bubbles instead of petals or confetti, the bubbles worked beautifully and were a great hit with all our guests. One thing that a number of guest commented on was the fact that they were both totally unobtrusive, in fact Jonathan and Isobel felt more like guests at our wedding and were able to capture everything in a relaxed manner which is just what we had wanted. Right from the beginning of the planning process Jonathan was fantastic, so calm and professional. When we saw pictures of his previous weddings we knew he was totally our style, lots of natural shots which seemed to capture the day perfectly. As a bride I knew that I would obviously being getting photographed a lot which I dreaded - I hate having my photo taken and told Jonathan that! On our pre wedding shoot my mind was put totally at rest and the results were fab! We knew exactly how we wanted the day to be and Jonathan & Isobel captured it perfectly! We wouldn't have even known they were there half the time and I was amazed at the volume and range of shots they got. We didn't want too many ‘posed for’ shots as it was December but we got the ones we wanted, which they organised for us. My guests kept commenting on how great they were! Jonathan sent me a sneak-peek of some photos a few days later and I couldn't wait to get the rest. They were all ready to view when we got back from honeymoon which we looked at over a nice cup of tea. Jonathan had arranged the photos as a story of the day from church to the dancing - it is great to look through now. The colours in the photographs were amazing and I didn't realise how good our colour scheme was until I saw the photos. I cannot recommend Jonathan enough, he put us totally at ease and I knew I could just leave it him and Isobel without having to worry. We sourced Jonathan through a friend and after meeting him at his home to go through some of his previous work and look at his particular style, we had absolutely no hesitation in asking him to photograph us. Jonathan was recommended to us by a friend as a fantastic photographer and we weren't disappointed! People always say that long after the wedding is over, your photographs are one of the lasting things that you'll have to look back at and cherish the special day.
